Disclosure of Ownership.

BME is a wholly owned for profit subsidiary of North Country Health Services.

The disclosure of ownership statement means a lot to BME. Being a part of a health care corporation maintains our focus on service and quality. BME was started to offer a continuum of care to the home care setting and alternative revenues for North Country Health Services. Over the years we have succeeded in both endeavors.

Since 1986, Bemidji Medical Equipment has been delivering quality services to our customers. In September of 2009 BME received full accreditation status from its accreditation agency, Health Care Quality Association on Accreditation. That survey validated the day to day efforts of the BME staff to provide quality product and services to their customer base.

As our last Christmas Card showed, BME is growing and we are able to provide a wide range of product lines to serve the needs within the home and institutional setting.

Our main product lines are: oxygen delivery systems, breast prosthetics, ostomy supplies, walkers, pressure support stockings, diabetic shoes and inserts, wheelchairs and power scooters.

CPAP and BiPAP services continue to grow and BME has three credentialed Respiratory Therapists on staff to address the needs of our customers. Improving patient compliance is our goal, and with that comes the improved health benefits for our customers.

Our parent, North Country Health Services, has comparable needs and concerns like every other health care institution and that allows BME to market to acute care and long term care facilities with products to address patient handling concerns. Working in a collaborative manner, BME can support facilities as they develop new safety initiatives in their own facilities.

BME is a regional provider, serving the five state region with Bruno Stair Lifts, BHM Medical Lift Products, Rane Bathing Systems, Best Bath Products, Waverly Glen Lift Products and ARYCARE Lift products.
